Dr. Chip Colee serves as Chief Administrative Officer, overseeing the administrative directors of the ministry, and has served ABCH since September 2016. Chip is a graduate of Samford University (1990), The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky. (1993), and earned a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, Tn. (2013).

Growing up in Tuscaloosa and Prattville, Ala., Chip is a lifelong Alabama Baptist who served First Baptist Church Decatur, Ala. for 10 years and First Baptist Church Montgomery, Ala. for 12 years.

His wife, Christy Choyce Colee, earned degrees from Samford University, Birmingham, Ala. and The University of Alabama at Birmingham. After more than 20 years teaching high school, she is currently employed by Renaissance Learning, a K-12 educational software company. Chip and Christy are active members of Hunter Street Baptist Church, and have two children. Their son Christopher and daughter Caroline are both Samford graduates.
