Understanding the Cycle of Poverty

The children we serve often come from families who have experienced generations of poverty. In these cases, there may be no family members who understand or are capable of implementing the strategies it takes to break this cycle. In this session, we’ll explore how maladaptive coping skills can become deeply entrenched family traditions, reinforced over decades, and how they can have a crushing effect on entire family systems.
