The Reasonable and Prudent Parent Standard

Training by Michael Smith | PhD, LICSW-PIP, MBA

The Reasonable and Prudent Parent Standard (RPPS) is an attempt to normalize life for children in all forms of foster care. RPPS in Alabama flows out of national legislation designed to protect children in care and provide them the most “normal” life experiences possible. This module is required to be taken annually by foster parents and house parents. The module will equip foster care providers on how and when to make decisions that enhance the life opportunities for children in care. (1 CE)
